Two sides of a coin tossed and flipped and played in an endless dance
The wizard who slew the wyrm to defend what he should defend
The Wyrm who raged its fire to defend what it is, and what it cannot cease to become
They were the Wizard and the Wyrm
Both feared and lamented and scorned
Fighting for things they cannot comprehend
Designated roles and dances on their universe’s whim
They were the wizard and the wyrm
And at times like these they weep
For they tire of fighting and dancing to the great universe’s story
For all they wanted were sanctuaries and a hauntless sleep
For once, just once, they wanted to make their own story
